The Congress government in Telangana is preparing to present the 2026–27 State Budget with an estimated outlay of Rs 3.2–3.25 lakh crore. Despite financial constraints, the Budget is expected to prioritise welfare schemes, education, health, irrigation, and infrastructure projects.

He also announced the launch of Ambedkar Knowledge Centres across Khammam constituencies to support rural youth preparing for competitive exams, with digital libraries and online coaching by expert faculty.
Minister D Sridhar Babu, overseeing IT and Industries, announced plans to establish Dr. BR Ambedkar Knowledge Centres across all 119 assembly constituencies.
