The erstwhile Adilabad district witnessed an unprecedented rush of candidates filing nominations for civic body elections on Friday. Mancherial Municipal Corporation alone saw 186 sets of nominations, while municipalities across the district reported heavy participation.
Their act was recorded on a mobile phone and the clip went viral on social media platforms, triggering mild tension between two sections of society in the communally sensitive town.
