According to the police, owners of a land in two survey numbers in Chilkur village were clearing the land and in the process had razed down an old mosque. The local villagers noticed it and informed the TG Wakf Board officials about it.

The procedure to notify the three new laws-- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-- started soon after President Droupadi Murmu on December 25 gave her assent.

A government source said that the issue has been resolved after the meeting with Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Tuesday evening.
