Hyderabad’s Old City witnessed a grand conclusion to its Bonalu festivities as Mahankali ghatams were taken in a colourful procession from Hari Bowli to Nayapul. Thousands of devotees gathered along the route before the ghatams were ceremonially immersed in the Musi River.

During the Bonalu Rangam ritual at Hyderabad's Ujjaini Mahakali Temple, oracle Swarnalatha predicted floods, fire accidents and heavy loss of life in Telangana this year. She also expressed displeasure over the delay in installing an idol and criticised the temple priest's attitude.
