Following the Election Commission's extension of the SIR deadline, Booth Level Officers have intensified efforts to collect filled-in enumeration forms across Hyderabad. They are contacting electors, RWAs, and neighbours to improve response and assist voters with completing the electoral roll revision process.
Hyderabad BLOs are facing difficulties distributing enumeration forms as many voters have shifted homes without updating their electoral addresses. Landlords are refusing forms meant for former tenants, while over 11.52 lakh voters across 15 Assembly constituencies have been marked absent, shifted or dead.
The Election Commission of India has enabled eligible voters to submit their Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms online through its official portal. Electors can authenticate using their registered mobile number or EPIC number and complete the process without waiting for a Booth Level Officer.
Local political and community leaders are helping voters complete the Special Intensive Revision process in South Hyderabad by distributing and collecting SIR forms. The arrangement has eased the burden on Booth Level Officers facing challenges in tracing voters and verifying addresses.
