The constable, originally from Bihar, disappeared on Friday while on general duty at the Bharani forward post in the Balakote sector, sources reported.
Additional Border Security Forces (BSF) were inducted to bring the situation under control as columns of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles moved to the general area of Songdo.
The gunfight took place at around 7 am in the forest near Binagunda village under Chhotebethiya police station limits when security personnel were out on an anti-Naxalite operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P said.
An official statement of the BSF said, "Based on specific intelligence inputs, 01 Pakistani drone, in broken condition has been recovered by alert troops of BSF in Amritsar"
