Nikhat, who had earlier defeated 2019 World Champion Paltceva Ekaterina of Russia in the pre-quarter-finals, looked unfazed and confident on Thursday against her opponent from Kazakhstan.
"He had been on leave for the Diwali break and and was in quarantine upon his return. As per SOPs established by SAI, he was tested on the sixth day after his return to the camp," A SAI statement read.
