"James Nachtwey (a photographer commissioned by the Times) asked me if there are any rituals I do to prepare for a role. I said not really but mentioned that I do cold plunge every morning when I get up," Cooper told The New York Times.
"The last stage, he had covered pretty much everywhere, the bodysuit and arms. That took over five hours. The last stage, the whole time, our call time was 1 in the morning," Hiro told an audience at the picture's New York Film Festival screening on October 2.
The 48-year-old also said his experience with alcohol helped him play the role of an addict in 2018's musical drama "A Star Is Born", which he also co-wrote, co-produced, and directed.
