The BRS maintained a strong showing in the third phase of gram panchayat elections in erstwhile Adilabad district, winning 126 villages across four districts and consolidating its victories in a total of 224 villages over all phases.
BRS-supported candidates dominated the second phase of gram panchayat elections in Siddipet district, winning 125 of 182 panchayats and nearly 69 per cent of sarpanch posts, leaving Congress and BJP far behind.
