Constable Swaraj P N, belonging to the BSFs 4th battalion, was found hanging from the ceiling of a mess at the Tactical Headquarters in Koyalibeda police station area.
According to sources, the Pakistani army also suffered numerous casualties in the "strong and effective" retaliation by the Indian troops as several of their posts were also destroyed.
The BSF was raised on this day in 1965 with a purpose to guard India's international border with Pakistan and later with Bangladesh too when it became an independent country in 1971.
