BRS leaders, including KTR and Harish Rao, were initially placed under house arrest but later allowed to board city buses to stage the ‘Chalo Bus Bhavan’ protest against the RTC fare hike. Police detained some leaders en route, delaying their movement.
BRS senior leader T Harish Rao condemned the house arrests of party leaders ahead of the “Chalo Bus Bhavan” protest, accusing the Congress government of suppressing dissent. He alleged that the Revanth Reddy regime was burdening citizens and planning to privatise the RTC.
Police placed BRS leaders, including KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, under house arrest to prevent them from joining the “Chalo Bus Bhavan” protest against the RTC fare hike. Heavy police deployment was seen across Hyderabad as tensions rose Thursday morning.
In response to these concerns, TSRTC has opted to from a high-level committee to thoroughly assess the feasibility of resolving these pressing issues..
