A total of 73.39 lakh voters have been excluded from Telangana’s draft electoral rolls, while around 92 lakh electors will receive notices over anomalies and unmapped records as part of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy has cautioned voters against fraudulent calls and messages sent in the name of ECI/CEO regarding SIR enumeration forms. Fraudsters are seeking payments and sensitive bank details through WhatsApp links and phone calls.
Hyderabad has achieved 57.25 per cent digitisation of Special Intensive Revision enumeration forms, the lowest among Telangana districts. Medchal-Malkajgiri has overtaken Hyderabad, while Yadadri-Bhongir leads the State with 94.30 per cent digitisation, according to the Chief Electoral Officer's report.
