The WHO's cancer research agency has classified Hydrochlorothiazide, Voriconazole and Tacrolimus as Group 1 carcinogens based on scientific evidence. Health experts, however, stress that patients should continue prescribed treatment and consult doctors before making any changes, as uncontrolled hypertension poses greater immediate risks.
Citing "limited evidence" for carcinogenicity in humans, IARC classified aspartame as possibly carcinogenic to humans and JECFA reaffirmed the acceptable daily intake of 40 mg per kg body weight.
