BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated a community kitchen in Karimnagar to provide breakfast to 49,000 students in 669 government schools and 11 junior colleges. The Rs 8 crore facility will be implemented by the Harekrishna Movement Charitable Foundation.
Collector Chitra Mishra announced that job melas would be organised every three months in Karimnagar district to provide employment opportunities to youth. Around 3,000 aspirants attended the latest mela, where several companies conducted recruitment and selected hundreds of candidates for jobs
Taking part in a meeting of the District Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday, Chitra Mishra said officials of various departments have been instructed to protect the rights of differently abled persons.
