The Class 10 public examinations commenced across Andhra Pradesh with over 6.4 lakh students appearing at 3,415 centres. Elaborate arrangements, including CCTV surveillance, medical teams, and flying squads, were made to ensure smooth conduct and prevent malpractice.

The incident took place at his home in Reoti area on Tuesday after the CBSE announced the Board exam results.

Due to COVID-19 situation, for the first time, the examinations have been reduced from six days to two days.

Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar said that as decided earlier the Class 10 board examinations will be conducted only for two days.

Last week, the board had postponed both class 10 and 12 exams.

The SSC exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 17 to 28 while the second year intermediate examinations were proposed to be held between May 1 and May 19

Class 10 and 12 exams are set to begin from May 4 amid demand by some leaders, that they be cancelled amid an alarming rise in the COVID-19 cases across the country.
