The BRS and its union, TBGKS, have said that the Congress government is not taking proper care of Singareni coal workers. They pointed out delays in medical checks for workers and said that support services are not running properly.

TBGKS vice president Pettem Laxman said the union began a phased-manner stir against the Centre’s move to auction the coal blocks and to privatise the coal mines.

According to the officials, both of them had gone into the underground mine to attend the second shift duty around 2 pm.
