Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao was taken into police custody in Hyderabad while attempting to visit Banswada, Kamareddy, after communal clashes. Police arrested protesters, deployed additional forces, and registered cases to prevent further violence

He also alleged that the Medak police allowed a man, who was involved in the clash, to undergo treatment in a private hospital in violation of rules.

He appealed to the doctors fraternity in the district to respond to the incident and chalk out a future course of action on how to react in such situations
