Union minister Prakash Javadekar said it will take Gandhi a long time to understand Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindutva organisation and ideological fountainhead of the ruling BJP.
Gandhi, who was participating in a webinar organised by US university Cornell also hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
"Tamil Nadu chief minister (K Palaniswami) who bows to Prime Minister Narendra Modi will never be able to do this. The chief minister should bow to the people of the state," he said.
In his earlier visits to Tamil Nadu, he attacked the BJP over the New Education Policy and the language issue which is a very emotive topic in the state.
