A complaint was lodged by Dr Hema Latha, Assistant Medical Health Officer (AMHO), GHMC, to investigate and take stringent action against culprits for illegal brokerage from relatives of Covid victims brought for cremation

Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar wanted the officials to make suitable arrangements so that family members of the deceased would not be troubled.

Family members of the Covid victims have to pay Rs. 5 challan to Municipal Commissioner, following which the municipality will take over the body to the crematorium and all the rituals will be performed
