Microsoft has reportedly reduced its workforce further by 1,000 over the past week, mostly in sales and customer services teams.

This expansion adds another 500 seats to its existing team of 2,000 employees, accommodating its rapidly growing workforce in the country.

The city-based company saw a lot of traction from edtech and fintech enterprises even as the traditional customer-centric sectors like taxi and grocery delivery saw a dip in the first 4-5 months of 2020.
