The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau conducted an awareness programme at Gitam University, Hyderabad, educating students on cyber safety, digital responsibility, and cyber crime. Experts also guided women students on handling cyber harassment and staying safe online
The BRS government had established the CSB with the sole intention of preventing and controlling cybercrimes. It was set up to save the public, public institutions and other entities from cyber threats. However, the CSB was being misused by the Congress to book fabricated and illegal cases against social media warriors, he said.
The police said the victim reporting the crime on 1930 within the golden hour and swift response of 1930 helpline staff in alerting the bank helped save the entire amount.
