Cyberabad Police rescued 664 children during the month-long Operation Muskaan-XII conducted in July. The drive targeted child labour, begging, rag-picking and other hazardous situations, with details of all rescued children uploaded to the DARPAN platform for rehabilitation and monitoring.
Speaking at the meeting, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said temporary shelter homes would be opened and the rescued children would be safeguarded by conducting medical tests regularly in view of Covid-19.
Darpan, the face recognition tool developed by Telangana State Police, has helped a missing child from Uttar Pradesh, getting reunited with his parents after five years.
