Hyderabad: A coordination meeting on Operation Smile-VII was held by the Cyberabad Police here on Thursday. Training sessions on the Darpan app and Track Child Portal too were held.
As per instructions from the Ministry of Home Affairs to form teams for Operation Smile-VII during January 2021, Cyberabad Police has formed teams across the nine divisions of the commissionerate. The teams are headed by K Kishore Kumar ACP and supervised by C Anasuya, DCP, Women and Child Safety Wing.
Speaking at the meeting, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said temporary shelter homes would be opened and the rescued children would be safeguarded by conducting medical tests regularly in view of Covid-19. The DCP, requesting representatives of various departments to continue to extend their cooperation to the operation, also said strict action would be initiated against those engaging children in domestic work, industrial areas and in gated communities.

Citizens have been asked to report on incidents of child labourers in hotels, restaurants, dhabhas, tea stalls, domestic work etc or to call on Dial 100 or to send an e-mail to smileteamcyb@gmail.com.
