Schools have been granted a 13-day Dasara holiday till October 3 and they will reopen on October 4. If students skip school on October 4, which is a Saturday, they can extend their vacation by two days and rejoin the classwork on Monday October 6.
The School Education Department has announced 13-day Dasara holidays for schools in Telangana from September 21 to October 3. Classes will resume on October 4, with FA-2 exams before vacation and SA-1 exams scheduled from October 24 to 31.
As per the academic calendar issued by the School Education, students will have summative assessment (SA) 1 from October 21 to 28 followed by the formative assessment (FA) 3 before December 17.
A proposal to this effect has been sent by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to the Directorate of School Education on Tuesday.
