Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao received a death threat from a caller claiming to be a Maoist, warning of an assassination by 6 pm on Friday. This marks the sixth such threat since June last year.
The threats were reportedly received on April 22 -- the same day terrorists gunned down 26 people, mostly tourists, in Kashmir's Pahalgam -- via a suspicious Gmail account
In the message, received on the traffic police's WhatsApp helpline on Sunday, the sender threatened to blow up the actor's car and also thrash him by entering his residence
Police said that 29-year-old Rinku, serving life sentence in a rape case, called the Jaipur police control room and threatened to kill the Chief Minister
Pradeep Nair, founder of AWCS, called upon the people not to use the sunroof in their cars at least for one month. Nair also suggested that bike riders use thick neck bands or a scarf around their necks as a precautionary measure apart from using helmets
