Medak MP Raghunandan receives sixth death threat since last june

Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao received a death threat from a caller claiming to be a Maoist, warning of an assassination by 6 pm on Friday. This marks the sixth such threat since June last year.

Sangareddy: Medak MP M Raghunandan Rao received a threat call from an unidentified miscreant, who threatened to assassinate the BJP MP by 6 pm on Friday. The miscreant claimed to be a Maoist.

Raghunandan had received six threat cases since last June. This time, the call came from the number 94043 48431. The miscreant reportedly said that no one could save him and demanded his resignation from the Member of Parliament post.

Following the previous threat calls, the Police have enhanced security for him. The MP said the caller spoke in Hindi.

Raghunandan said that during the previous six instances, he received calls from six different numbers and six different individuals. The MP has informed the same to Sangareddy, Siddipet and Medak police officials about the latest threat as well.
