GMR Institute of Technology in Andhra Pradesh has been granted Deemed-to-be-University status by the Ministry of Education. The move gives the institution greater autonomy to expand academic programmes, strengthen research, and build national and international collaborations.
The Union Ministry of Education has recently issued a gazette notification declaring Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Suraram, Hyderabad, with seven units as an institution deemed to be university under distinct category.
