Delhi Police has made a major breakthrough by arresting a suspected terrorist, Shahnawaz, who had been on the run and was among the most wanted individuals by the National Investigation Agency.
The two were found to be allegedly involved in a Rs 20-crore burglary at a jewellery store in New Delhi and around 18.5 kg of gold and diamond ornaments were recovered from them, he said.
Three men, including the Delhi Police constable, his brother-in-law and another accomplice have been arrested for allegedly killing the woman, police said on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided Kawardha town in Kabirdham district and arrested one of the suspects in the Delhi jewellery store burglary. The team then tracked down Lokesh to a house in Durg, Chhattisgarh.
Two men were arrested here for allegedly extorting over Rs 10 lakh from a woman by threatening to upload her obscene photographs on social media, police said on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Jitender Meena said the five people who were admitted to a hospital as they had inhaled fumes were out of danger and they would be discharged shortly.
According to police, the woman filed a complaint on the Cyber Portal regarding extortion by the two men. She alleged that around two to three years ago, she had accepted a friend request from an Instagram ID
Four persons were arrested for the murder of a 24-year-old man in New Seemapuri in Delhi, said the police, adding that they were on the run after the incident
Police have also recovered incriminating chats and conversation between Arsh Dalla and Jagjit Singh. "They are talking about the arrangement of bikes and the arrangement of boys," the chargesheet stated.
