The Department of Agriculture, Siddipet, and Telangana Development Forum have launched a precision farming initiative using satellite data to detect crop stress, improve yield, and reduce chemical use. The project, piloted in Thoguta mandal, aims to promote sustainable agriculture practices
The participants will include scientists, representatives of business organizations, exporters, importers, academicians, entrepreneurs from the farm sector and those dealing with rice related products and representatives of start-up companies.
District Agriculture Officer R K Srinivas Raj said that the quality services to farmers are provided from this Yasangi at the Agros Farmer Service Centers to be set up at the mandal level
The initiative can be put in place with the active and voluntary involvement of the teaching fraternity and others interested in tutoring and mentoring the students through mobile phones and other digital means.
