Originally titled 'Idly Kadai' in Tamil, the film has been dubbed into Telugu as 'Idly Kottu' and is set for a worldwide release on April 10.

Taking to X, Arun Matheeswaran wrote, “Just watched #NEEK and I'm blown away by the honest portrayal of young love and friendship! Kudos to @dhanushkraja for capturing the essence of youth so beautifully. It will resonate with anyone who's ever experienced the ups and downs of growing up. Kudos to the cast as well!!!”

The film’s teaser is gripping as it shows that both the protagonists of the film, Anand (Atharvaa Murali) and Divya (Nimisha Sajayan) are rebellious by nature.

Though details of the cast and crew are yet to be known, the makers unveiled a special video announcing the project.

Nayanthara and Dhanush are at the center of a controversy surrounding her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, released on November 18. The actress revealed in an open letter that Dhanush had sent her a legal notice demanding ₹10 crore for alleged copyright infringement, claiming the documentary included behind-the-scenes footage from his production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.

'Raayan', which is the 50th movie of Dhanush's career, will be available on Prime Video in in Tamil with dubs in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada
