The talk grew louder after Dhanush was spotted at the Son of Sardaar 2 event, where Mrunal was also present.

In a recent interview with Only Kollywood, Mrunal decided to address the speculation. She said she found the rumours funny and added, “We are friends. He is a good friend of mine. Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event only after Ajay Devgn invited him. No one should misunderstand that.”

The buzz around her personal life comes at a time when Dhanush has already been in the news for his private matters. In 2022, the actor and his wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth announced their separation after 18 years of marriage, and officially divorced in 2024.
