Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol unveiled a bronze statue of their beloved characters Raj and Simran from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ at London’s Leicester Square, marking the film’s 30th anniversary. The tribute highlights the film’s enduring cultural impact, its record-breaking run in Hindi cinema, and its role in shaping global South Asian identity.

Three decades after its release, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge continues to enchant audiences with its timeless romance and iconic moments. Despite being rooted in traditional values, the Aditya Chopra classic still draws crowds and inspires generations of love stories.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher revealed that Shah Rukh Khan improvised the cult line "O Pochi, O Koka..." in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Calling SRK “brilliant at improvisation,” Kher said the scene paid tribute to his own father.

According to Book My Show, Cinepolis (Mantra Mall, Attapur), Cinepolis (Sudha Cinemas, Hyderabad), INOX (GVK One, Banjara Hills), and PVR (Next Galleria Mall, Panjagutta) are screening the movie.

Confirming the announcement, Nelson D'Souza, Associate Vice President - International Distribution said, DDLJ is a film that made people fall in love and has constantly won hearts whenever it has been screened across the world.

The romance drama, which released on October 20, 1995, propelled Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol to stardom and made them one of the most loved onscreen pairs.

DDLJ, as the film is popularly known, marked the directorial debut of Uday's elder brother Aditya Chopra, known as Adi in Bollywood circles.
