ABVP activists staged a protest at the School Education Directorate in Hyderabad, opposing an alleged plan to close government schools. They demanded stronger regulation of private school fees, filling of teacher vacancies, improved infrastructure, and implementation of NEP 2020.
The Telangana Directorate of School Education has tightened attendance rules, linking late arrival and early logout to leave deductions under the FRS system. Repeated violations will lead to casual leave cuts, with possible expansion to government school staff.
The ABVP activists led by its State joint secretary Jeevan demanded the State government to immediately bring in a school fee regulation act and implement it.
