Sirpur (T) MLA Dr P Harish Babu ended his indefinite hunger strike against GO 49 on Union ministers’ advice, though he vowed to continue opposing the tiger reserve plan. BJP leaders extended support, warning of intensified protests in Telangana.

Sirpur (T) MLA Dr P Harish Babu demanded the government to take stringent punishment against the accused person, who allegedly attempted to rape and murder a tribal woman in Jainoor mandal, by forming a fast-track court.
Sirpur (T) MLA Dr P Harish Babu said that the government cheated the farmers by allocating Rs 18,000 crore as against the outlay of the loans of Rs 65,000 crore in the state. He opined that it got rid of the loans by waiving loans belonging to a minor portion of farmers.
