The central government has made it mandatory for states to report both suspected and confirmed cases of mucormycosis to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).
In a notification, the Director of Public Health (DPH) Dr G Srinivasa Rao directed all government and private health facilities to follow guidelines for screening, diagnosis and management of Mucormycosis
