Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on the BRS in the Assembly, accusing it of conspiring to disrupt proceedings and likening the alleged insult to the Speaker to terror attacks. He defended the Congress protest at K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence and announced a comprehensive inquiry into recent incidents, promising criminal cases under the SC/ST Act.
BRS leaders accused the Congress government and police of plotting an attack on K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Erravelli residence. They demanded cases against Congress MLAs and police officials, alleging conspiracy, threats, and assaults on BRS legislators and workers.
BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday attended the funeral of his brother-in-law Joginipalli Srinivas Rao, who passed away after a prolonged illness. Rao paid floral tributes, consoled family members and assured them of support, while senior BRS leaders including K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao were also present.
