Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the death of Excise Constable G Soumya and directed police officials to take stringent action against those responsible. Two accused have been arrested, while two remain absconding.
Excise constable G Sowmya, 23, was critically injured in Nizamabad after being run over during a vehicle check. She underwent surgery to remove her spleen and kidney and remains on ventilator and renal support at NIMS under multidisciplinary care.
The excise constable Soumya remains in critical condition after being run over by a car involved in ganja smuggling during a vehicle check in Nizamabad. The driver reversed the vehicle, causing Soumya to fall under it before crashing into an electric pole.
