Posaconazole is a triazole antifungal agent indicated for treating mucormycosis detected among patients who are recovering from Covid-19.

The drugs used in the treatment of the fungal infection will be arranged in enough quantity and awareness will be created among people for prevention against the disease, he said.

In a notification, the Director of Public Health (DPH) Dr G Srinivasa Rao directed all government and private health facilities to follow guidelines for screening, diagnosis and management of Mucormycosis
