Tarun Joshi assumes charge as Future City Police Commissioner

Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer Tarun Joshi on Friday assumed charge as the new Police Commissioner of Future City at the Commissionerate office in Tukkuguda.
A 2004-batch IPS officer, Joshi previously served as Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and also held key positions including Superintendent of Police of Adilabad, DCP of Hyderabad Central Zone, Joint Commissioner of Police of Special Branch, and Commissioner of Rachakonda.
Speaking after taking charge, Joshi said his priorities include strengthening basic policing, maintaining law and order, improving infrastructure, and focusing on staff recruitment.
He stressed the need to curb drug abuse and cybercrime, and to address traffic management issues. He added that technology-driven policing and transparent, citizen-friendly services would be key focus areas to build public trust.
