The Telangana School Education Department has completed its 2026 general transfer exercise for officers and non-teaching staff. Conducted online for the first time for non-teaching personnel, the exercise involved transfers across district, zonal, multi-zonal and State cadres.
Senior faculty of state-run medical colleges posted in peripheral regions of Telangana State continue to protest for being ignored in the recently held general transfers in the health department.
The general transfers that are being taken-up in the health department has left the community of government doctors in Telangana State disgruntled. A large section of doctors express their frustration over the ambiguity surrounding the process of transferring government doctors in the State.
