GMR Aero Technic has signed a three-year agreement with Akasa Air to provide base maintenance for its Boeing 737 MAX fleet at its Hyderabad MRO facility. The partnership reflects growing confidence in India’s aviation maintenance ecosystem.
Under this partnership, GMR Aero Technic, will conduct engine core wash services using technology developed by Lufthansa at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore beginning Q4 2024.
Strategically located within the GMR Aerospace and Industrial Park at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the GMR School of Aviation is poised to become a beacon of excellence in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
“GAT has taken a giant leap in terms of aircraft maintenance and service in Asia, by adopting innovative technology in the form of an inflatable hangar as compared to conventional hangar structure,” Ashok Gopinath said.
