The Director General of Police, B Shivadhar Reddy, announced that Karreguttalu in Mulugu district has become a Maoist-free zone. Plans are underway to develop the area into a tourism hub, with new police infrastructure and inter-agency coordination centres being established.
Kothagudem police organised a free mega medical camp for migrant Guthikoya families in Niladripetagandi village. Around 300 adivasis received treatment and medicines, while solar street lights and educational materials were distributed to improve living conditions in the villages.
