Kothagudem police striving for welfare, development of migrant Guthikoyas: SP Rohith Raju
Kothagudem police organised a free mega medical camp for migrant Guthikoya families in Niladripetagandi village. Around 300 adivasis received treatment and medicines, while solar street lights and educational materials were distributed to improve living conditions in the villages.

Kothagudem: The district police have been striving for the welfare and development of the migrant Guthikoya community, asserted Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju.
He inaugurated a free mega medical camp organised by Karakagudem police on Friday at Niladripetagandi village for the residents of Niladripetagandi and Ashwapurampadu, as well as solar street lights installed in the villages.
Around 300 adivasis from 70 families were treated and given medicines free of cost. Police serving in the agency areas were working tirelessly in coordination with other government departments to ensure access to education, healthcare and transportation facilities for the adivasis, the SP informed.
Measures were being taken to ensure they receive the benefits of Central and State government schemes, Rohith Raju said while urging the villagers to inform the police if any strangers or unknown individuals enter their villages.
Sarees and essential commodities were distributed to the women, while T-shirts and volleyball kits were presented to the youth. School bags, notebooks and solar study lamps were distributed to the school-going children.
The SP thanked the medical team for rendering services to the adivasis, while the villagers were delighted over the installation of solar street lights in their villages and thanked the police.
Additional SP (Operations) Narender, Manuguru DSP Ravinder Reddy, Edullabayyaram CI Venkateshwarlu, SIs Suresh and PVN Rao along with other staff members participated in the programme.
