The expansion of GHMC boundaries has significantly increased the House Rent Allowance (HRA) and City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) for government employees, particularly teachers. This move ensures substantial salary hikes for staff working within the newly defined limits.

The existing 31.8 per cent DA will be merged into the basic pay of the employees, which roughly will work out to 43.2 per cent DA.
