Food safety teams in Telangana found multiple violations during inspections at schools, hostels, mid-day meal kitchens, and eateries. Violations included lack of food licenses, synthetic colour use, expired pulses, and unsafe containers. Samples of dal and tamarind were sent for testing.
GHMC’s food safety wing inspected 25 Pista House restaurant outlets in Hyderabad, collecting 23 samples. Inspections revealed unhygienic kitchens, poor storage practices, uncovered dustbins, housefly infestations, and lack of proper temperature records in cold rooms
