Kothagudem police have launched Chaitanya (Fight Against Drugs), a month-long campaign to curb narcotic abuse in the district. Awareness drives, raids, and rallies are being conducted across mandals, with SP B Rohith Raju urging public participation to combat drug addiction

Efforts are being made to shift the patients to other hospitals. Four fire tenders are at the site to douse the fire. More details are awaited.
