Telangana is witnessing a high-stakes political clash as BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao holds his first major rally in Jagtial after a year, coinciding with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Kataram event to launch the second phase of Rythu Bharosa.
Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy has accused the Congress government and local leaders of deliberately obstructing the upcoming BRS public meeting in Jagtial by excavating NH-63 just days before the event. Despite the disruption, he asserted that the rally would be a success.
Former Minister T Jeevan Reddy, who recently ended his four-decade association with the Congress, is set to join the BRS later this month. His induction, expected on April 20 at a massive public meeting in Jagtial, follows a warm reception by party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao at Erravelli.
