A 38-year-old man died instantly when his car crashed into a farm well at Kommuthanda village in Khanapur mandal on Tuesday night. The victim, a resident of Narsapur, lost control of the vehicle at a curve while returning from Rangapet.
The average groundwater level of the district plummeted to 10.19 metres in March this year as against 8.94 metres in March 2023 reflecting a decline by 1.25 metres.
Kaddam Sub-Inspector K Raju said that the deceased were Konda Mounika (25) and her father Rajaiah (50), a farmer belonging to Patha Maddipadaga village in Kaddam mandal.
