The project is undertaken by GHMC and The Rainwater Project (TRP) as part of a national initiative by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA).

Minister KT Rama Rao assured that 99 percent of the jobs generated at the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park would be offered to locals.

Speaking on the occasion, Preethi emphasised the importance of planting saplings to make the earth green and fight hazards of pollution and deforestation.
