Karimnagar DCCB chairman Konduru Rao said that the new branches would be opened within two or three months in Koheda, Veernapalli, Manthani Mutharam, Bheerpur and Mallial Chandurthi to provide banking services in the interior villages.
Each drying yard, measuring over 3,000 square feet, would be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.26 lakhs each including Rs 60,000 contributions from the farmers of the respective watershed villages.
Established on March 18, 2016, the DCCB Shankarpatnam, a rural branch has achieved the milestone within a short duration of its opening by doing a business of Rs 45 crore deposits and Rs 56 crore loans.
Thanks to the execution of the participatory watershed development projects taken up by the DCCB with the financial grant of Rs 3.55 crore from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
